The vocabulary just keeps getting bigger and bigger around here. We now have a milk dictator too. Bugs will walk up to the refrigerator and slap it and demand "ILK!". And by god you better get on that too or feel the wrath of the gumby tantrum. You know the one where they go completely limp and bend in every direction and scream and thrash, and wait your child doesn't act like that? Teach me Obi-Wan!
But back to my original thought, somewhere she's learned "upa" or up with emphasis on the "PA", "shome" or some for when she wants something (god only knows what it could be) and 'yummmmmm" for when she's eating something tasty obviously. And she definatly knows when she's finished. The only sign language she knows is "all done" but she uses it regularly and knows she gets to leave the table when she is officially "done".
And not to be left behind by her daycare counterparts, she can also speak Czech. Her sitter is Czech and has been teaching her basic Czech words. Apparently the word for 'four', ctyri, is pronounced something like 'tshhhtyyrzrzrzrzreeeeee'. It's one of the most difficult words in the Czech language. I'm sure you can see why. Also, her sitter, M, is convinced she can say it. I think either a) has excellent translation skills or b) she's surrounded by toddlers all day and is now beginning to think they are speaking clearly. Either way
I'm pretty sure my baby isn't speaking Czech. Or maybe she is and I'm just too ignorant to know? Maybe I need a translator myself? And here I thought her adorable chatter was just nonsense. Who's the dumb one now!?
